The Spanish Senate will serve as the venue for the presentation of the book ¿Política confinada? Nuevas tecnologías y toma de decisiones en un contexto de pandemia (Politics in lockdown? New technologies and decision-making during a pandemic; Thompson Reuters, Aranzadi), on 18 December. The text, coordinated by Dr Juan Victor Meseguer and Dr Josep Maria Reniu, is the culmination of numerous contributions made by an interdisciplinary team of 25 experts who have analysed the role of new technologies in the current pandemic-driven context from their respective fields of expertise.
Albert Barberà, director of the eHealth Center, and members Manuel Armayones and Noemí Robles have penned a chapter of the book, titled "Datos en salud: desde la decisión política hasta la salud del ciudadano" (Data in health: from political decision-making to citizen health), which outlines how health data are being exploited in the context surrounding COVID-19 and what possibilities these data offer in terms of managing the pandemic.
The presentation will take place at noon on 18 December at the Spanish Senate, with limited capacity.
¿Política confinada? Nuevas tecnologías y toma de decisiones en un contexto de pandemia is now available in book shops and for download as an e-book.
