IN3’s Global Literary Studies Research Lab (GlobaLS) is pleased to invite you to the online seminar La Circulación Transatlántica de Material Impreso: Caminos y Desdoblamientos (Transatlantic circulation of printed material: paths and unfoldings), given by Márcia Abreu, a professor from the Literary Theory Department of the Institute of Language Studies, part of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil.

This seminar, focusing on Márcia Abreu's book The Transatlantic Circulation of Novels Between Europe and Brazil (1879-1914), will take place via Google Meet on Thursday 13 May, from 3 to 5 p.m. (CEST).

Before you attend the seminar, Abreu recommends reading two chapters of her book:

"Introduction: Fiction as an element of cultural connection" (pages 1-14)

"A transnational literate community: reactions to novels in Europe and Brazil" (pages 15-38).
