UOC President to participate in DIH presentation

UOC President Josep A. Planell will be taking part in the ceremony to present the Digital Impulse Hub (DIH) created to promote the digitalisation of industry and commerce in the Vallès Occidental region.

The DIH is a joint initiative of the UOC, the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, the town councils of Rubí, Sant Cugat del Vallès and Terrassa, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and the UPC's Centre for Image and Multimedia Technology (CITM).

This alliance aims to boost and promote digital transformation, the digitisation of industry and commerce, the public sector, training, the growth of digital start-ups, innovation and the international competitiveness of SMEs in this region.

Narcís Bosch, executive director of the General Council of Chambers of Catalonia will be hosting the event. Other participants will be UPC President Daniel Crespoes, the president of the General Council of Chambers of Catalonia, Jaume Fàbregas and the president of the Chamber of Barcelona, Mònica Roca, among others.
