Project approved to promote the internationalization of R&I at the UOC

Funded by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness

Under the name Apuesta estratégica para la internacionalización de la UOC: oportunidad, reto y horizonte (IntUOC), the project aims to strengthen the structure and services offered by the UOC Knowledge Transfer and Research Support Office (OSRT), through the R&I Funding unit. The aim is to provide R&I staff with a personalized analysis of funding and support opportunities to increase their participation in international projects and the quality of their proposals. The duration of the project is two years and has been awarded a budget of over 170,000 euros.

Objectives

The principal objectives of this new project coordinated by the OSRT include:

- Increasing the number and quality of applications for R&I project funding calls.

- Increasing the economic return, success ratio and awarding of European projects.

- Increasing leadership and participation in international projects and consortia.

- Fostering the orientation of the UOC’s research work towards the objectives and challenges of Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

- Optimizing the capacities of services for proposal preparation, communication, transfer and entrepreneurship, with a comprehensive management model based on accredited international standards.

- Establishing institutional cooperation agreements with companies for the undertaking of projects and with the leading national, European and non-EU research centres to create a strategic network.

The project objectives are in line with the UOC Strategic Plan 2014-2020.
