 Curriculum Vitae
I was born in Barcelona, but in 1999 I moved to New York and started working towards my Ph.D. in Linguistics at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, which I obtained in 2007. I also taught Spanish at different colleges (Brooklyn College, Hunter College and NYU) and took part in several research projects. After moving back to Barcelona, I held a postdoctoral researcher and professor position at the Language Didactics Department at Universitat Autnoma de Barcelona, after which I joined P.A.U. Education, where I was the content manager of the Open Education Europa portal and chief editor for the e-journal eLearning Papers from 2012 until late 2014. I've spent most of my life teaching language and training language teachers, but over the last few years I've taken an interest in educational technology, OER, MOOCs, and digital literacies all applied to language learning. I currently hold a Lecturer's position at the Centre for Modern Languages where I coordinate advanced English courses and put together the curriculum and design Spanish language courses.
