Pere Suau Sánchez

Pere Suau-Sanchez es Profesor Agregado de los Estudios de Economía y Empresa de la UOC desde 2019 donde es responsable de asignaturas en el ámbito de la dirección estratégica de empresas, digitalización, logística y transporte, tanto a nivel de grado como máster. Es Doctor en Geografía por la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2011), Máster en Gestión Urbana por la Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam (2005) y tiene un Postgrado en Práctica Académica por la Cranfield University (2014).

Anteriormente ha sido Senior Lecturer in Air Transport Management y de 2014 a 2018 fue Director del reconocido MSc Airport Planning and Management en Cranfield University, universidad con la que aún colabora. Desde 2008 a 2010 fue investigador invitado en la Worldwide Scientific Network for Aviation Research and Policy en Amsterdam. Además, también ha trabajado en empresas públicas, privadas y como consultor independiente en varios países. La calidad de su actividad académica ha sido acreditada por la Agencia de Calidad Universitaria de Catalunya (AQU) y la Higher Education Academy del Reino Unido. Además, a nivel industrial, está acreditado por el Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transports del Reino Unido.

Sus intereses de investigación académica y comercial son en el ámbito de la gestión y la estrategia de aeropuertos, aerolíneas y el desarrollo e impacto del tráfico aéreo. Ha participado en varios proyectos I+D en España, el Reino Unido y Noruega, destacando un proyecto de 3 años del Research Council of Norway sobre el impacto de la digitalización en los aeropuertos. Así mismo, también ha liderado un importante nombre de proyectos de consultoría para clientes varios (aerolíneas, aeropuertos y gobiernos).

Por otro lado, participa regularmente en congresos y conferencias académicas e industriales, como por ejemplo la ICAO-ECAC, Global Airport Development, World Routes, etc. También escribe y contribuye de manera regular a varios medios de comunicación (La Vanguardia, CNN, Forbes, BBC, entre otros).
