The aim of the automated management of
materials and deliveries is to define a system for managing
the materials of
the Universitat
Oberta de Catalunya. This system should speed up in
an efficient way five basic aspects of this management:
The request from suppliers of new orders of
products (production orders).
The carrying out of academic deliveries in an
automated way. These are sent to the students,
tutors and counsellors of the institution.
The creation of a circuit to respond to requests
for materials by personnel from the various areas
of organisation.
The control of the data relating to stocks in
the storeroom.
The support of the new needs detected in the
infrastructures area.
