This is the
UOC's e-learning solution in an Application
Service Provider*. The supra-campus is currently
hosting users,
companies, universities, and training operators.
It offers a complete and personalised
solution: in e-learning, the supra-campus as an Application
Service Provider (ASP) is a collection of integrated
applications and services. In addition to the Virtual
Campus product, it also provides everything a student
needs in order to access from a distance the virtual
environment and to receive quality training. The student
need not worry about the computing infrastructure or
about additional services.
The supracampus was launched at
the UOC
in 1995 with the aim of providing a virtual environment
for on-line learning and services for the University's
students, and later for the students in the various
distance-training initiatives and UOC
projects.
