Program
This talk will be split into two parts. In the first she will describe some recent research that she has been carrying out at the University of Southampton, working with ferry operators to improve the pricing and the packing of their ferries. The talk will describe the optimisation algorithms that they have developed, which draw on ideas from simheuristics. In the second part of the talk she will discuss the process of publishing papers and how to avoid common pitfalls. This comes from experience working as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Simulation.
The seminar will be held in English.
