The 12th Metaheuristics International Conference (MIC 2017) and the Metaheuristics, Evolutionary and Bio-inspired Algorithms Congress (MAEB) 2017 will be held from July 4-7 in Barcelona.
The Organising Committee's Conference Chairs will be Prof. Ángel A. Juan (ICSO Research Group of the IN3-Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), alongside Prof. Helena Ramalhinho Lourenço (UPF Department of Economics and Business) and Prof. Abraham Duarte (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos).

Presentations covering all aspects of Metaheuristic research will be delivered at MIC 2017, including: new algorithmic developments, industrial applications, new research challenges, theoretical developments, implementation issues, in-depth experimental studies, hybrid metaheuristics, and related topics.
MAEB 2017 aims to be a forum for meeting, discussion, and transfer of knowledge among researchers in the field of metaheuristics and bioinspired algorithms, in order to present and exchange experiences and results.

The MIC conference series was established in 1995 and is a leading academic event focusing on progress in the field of Metaheuristics and the resulting applications. As in previous editions, MIC 2017 will provide an opportunity for the international Metaheuristics research community to discuss recent research results, to develop new ideas and collaborations, and to meet old colleagues and make new connections in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
