Research and projects

The Chair encourages activities in the fields of research, education, information and documentation on multilingualism in relation to social and economic development. To achieve its goals, the Chair offers a space for interdisciplinary discussion and analysis on the role of languages and multilingualism in the process of globalisation in society as well as a framework for international cooperation in academic courses on the subject.

Moreover, it is a body that generates, documents and disseminates knowledge and understanding, which are needed to facilitate change-creating dynamics that can add to the benefits of multilingualism. The Chair aims to forge partnerships between top-level researchers, internationally-renowned university educators and representatives of other bodies.
