The first session of the eLC doctors and doctoral candidates working group is to be held on Wednesday 20 January with the aim of jointly establishing the development of quality doctoral theses in e-learning.
This session, which is designed to improve research at the eLC, will also involve Betty Collis and Jeff Moonen, emeritus professors at the University of Twente, Netherlands, who are to open the debate with a paper entitled Quality in Doctoral Theses about E-learning: Process and Product. The session is to be followed by a brief presentation of the theses currently underway at the eLC.
During the afternoon, activities will continue as groups discuss common problems and debate the opportunities to improve doctoral theses; the methodological and technological resources to aid data capture and processing, and the communication dynamics that need to be established within the community for mutual benefit through the sharing of accumulated knowledge and experience.
