The jury for the tenth LletrA award will make its decision known on Thursday. The decision will be announced once all the candidatures presented by 1 July 2010, and other websites which were not presented but which were deemed potential winners, have been assessed. This year’s award has not taken into account blogs, given that there is the LletrA / Blogs Catalunya award which is exclusively for blogs for and about Catalan literature. The members of the jury are Glòria Bordons, Ernest Folch, Josep M. Fonalleras, Francesc Serés, Carles Sigalés and Llorenç Valverde.

Girona Literary Awards

The Prudenci Bertrana Foundation organises the Girona Literary Awards each year. They include the Prudenci Bertrana award for novels; the Miquel de Palol award for poetry; the Carles Rahola award for essays; the Ramon Muntaner award for children’s literature; the Cerverí award for song lyrics, and the LletrA award for Catalan literature websites. Their aim is to collaborate in publicising these genres, encouraging reading in Catalan, and honouring the memory of five illustrious writers from Girona.
