Program

In Comunicació i poder, Castells rigorously examines the contemporary political processes and social changes seen in issues as significant as the Madrid bombings of 11 March 2004, the role of the internet in Obama’s presidential campaign and the global economy, the ecological movement, the US public’s poor levels of information on the Iraq war, or control of information by the Russian and Chinese governments. It is a work that helps us understand the circumstances of today’s world and the revolution in technologies we are witnessing.
