The UOC is organizing Right to Food Week 2017 from 27 November to 3 December. The idea is encourage people to buy locally sourced produce that's in season. The theme is “Think Global, Buy Local and Seasonal”.
This is the third such week and it reaffirms the UOC's commitment to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which promote sustainable production and consumption to protect the planet.
Over the week, experts from the UOC will use social media to provide interesting advice, information, resources and data on the benefits of local and seasonal produce in terms of our health, the local economy and the environment.
The campaign will culminate on December 3 with a visit and a practical workshop at the Can Comas, the Baix Llobregat Agricultural Park management center. The registration is mandatory through this form.
You can keep tabs on the campaign and take part by following the @UOCuniversity and @UOCesalut Twitter accounts or by keeping an eye on the #Right2FoodUOC hashtag.
