Third learning circle session, by CIRCLET project: plans for the future

The UOC is wrapping up its first CIRCLET learning circle with a third and final session with teaching and research staff, which aims to continue the discussion on how university faculty can harness the power of education to drive social transformation.

The learning circle aims to address the challenges and opportunities that come with reviewing and adjusting the academic offer so that it bolsters community-engaged research and learning throughout the University.

The project team has the following members: Amalia Creus, professor at the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences, who designed and is heading up the learning circle; Soledad Morales, professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business; and Nadja Gmelch, director of open knowledge projects at Globalization and Cooperation at the UOC. The sessions will also bring together Andrea Francisco Amat and Segundo Moyano, from the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences; Mirela Fiori, from the Faculty of Law and Political Science; Lluís Garay, from the Faculty of Economics and Business; Marina Garcés, from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities; Francesc Xavier Medina, full professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences; Daniel Riera, dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications; and Sandra Sanz, from the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences.

The CIRCLET project is funded by the European Commission's Erasmus+ programme (grant agreement 2017-3351/001-001) and is in line with the European Union's aim to promote socially responsible science that is open to all citizens.
