UOC's Inaugural Lecture 2020 - 2021

We begin the UOC's 25th academic year with an inaugural lecture given by Sanjay Sarma, a leading authority worldwide both on research into the science of learning and on mechanical engineering.

 

Sanjay Sarma is the Fred Fort Flowers (1941) and Daniel Fort Flowers (1941) Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the Vice President for Open Learning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The latter position ties him to the Jameel World Education Lab, which works on the future of education with universities worldwide, including the UOC. For the last 20 years MIT has been a pioneer in open educational resources; its open textbooks have been visited by over 500 million people around the world. 

 

Sanjay Sarma will give our 2020/21 inaugural lecture, launching the UOC's 25th academic year, at 4 p.m. on 21 October.
