Program
Her talk (scheduled for Wednesday 24 March from 4.30 to 6.00 p.m., CET) is based on a study of author Rafael Chirbes' representations of the Mediterranean coast as a landscape than not only records Spain's recent historical processes but also mobilizes collective memory and can spark specific narrative strategies. She will be analysing Chirbes' ideas about sustainability, which are opposed to epic overdevelopment, focusing instead on the need for profound historical knowledge of the territory.
