The second edition of the eHealth Talks seminar, organized by the UOC eHealth Center, will be held on 7 April at 3:30 p.m 14 April at 3:30 p.m. Ferran Prados, from the Applied Data Science Lab (ADaS Lab), will explain the ADaS Lab’s research line. The session will be moderated by the eHealth Center's director, Albert Barberà.
The proposal by this research group focuses on the application of data science to the optimization of clinical data analysis, especially in medical imaging processing. According to one of the researchers in the group, Ferran Prados, "through the multidimensional analysis of medical data, we try to develop next-generation biomarkers that allow for the introduction of personalized treatment in neurodegenerative diseases that have a great impact on our society. For example, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, ataxia or strokes."
As this an internal event, attendance at the seminars is restricted to the UOC community.
About the eHealth Talks seminars
eHealth Talks is the scientific debate seminar on e-health research that is held every second Wednesday of each month. Its goal is to provide a space for dialogue and knowledge exchange that is open to the entire UOC e-health community, including research staff, research groups and doctoral students who are working on e-health research and innovation within the University. The eHealth Talks will be held in English.
