eHealth Talks: Catalan digital health plan: from strategy to reality
A new edition of the eHealth Talks seminars will be held on 7 July at 3.30 p.m. Jordi Piera, Director of the Catalonia Digital Health Strategy Office and course instructor with the UOC's Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications, will talk about the Catalan digital health plan. As usual, the session will be moderated by Albert Barberà, the director of the eHealth Center.
In 2017, the Catalan Health Service embarked on a process of internal reflection on the digital transformation of the health system. Over 300 people in the sector were involved in the process, which made it possible to establish the terms of the Catalan digital health strategy.
According to Piera, "this document sets out a roadmap to foster the digital transformation of the Catalan health service in order to meet today's great social challenges."
"In this session, participants will learn in detail about the characteristics of the strategy and how we will be going from theory to practice," he said.
As this is an internal event, the seminars are only available to members of the UOC community.
