The UOC and the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (FUNGLODE) are to sign a framework agreement allowing the two institutions to collaborate on activities of mutual interest.
As one of the first initiatives to take place under this agreement, the FUNGLODE team will undergo education and ICT training.
FUNGLODE is a non-profit organization that carries out studies and training in the various sectors making up the Dominican Republic’s social, political, economic, democratic and international spheres.
On behalf of the two institutions, the agreement will be signed by UOC president, Josep A. Planell, and FUNGLODE president, Leonel Fernández.
The signing will also be attended by the UOC's vice president for Globalization and Cooperation, Pastora Martínez Samper; director of Globalization and Cooperation, Gemma Xarles, and director of International Projects, Carme Anguera. The FUNGLODE delegation will include Víctor Villanueva, academic vice president of the Global Institute for Higher Studies in Social Sciences (IGLOBAL); Yazmin Machuca, FUGLODE's representative in Catalonia, and Daisy Ventura, assistant to the president.
