Lourdes Guārdia and Marcelo Maina, from the eLC’s Edul@b research group, and Elena Barberā, from the EDUS group, take part in European project on the use of e-portfolios

The first meeting of the Europortfolio: A European Network of E-portfolio Experts and Practitioners (EPNET) project was held on 31 January and 1 February in Zagreb, Croatia, and attended by eLearn Center faculty Lourdes Guārdia and Marcelo Maina, from the Edul@b group, and Elena Barberā, from the EDUS group.

Led by the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and involving, as well as the UOC, universities and associations from Austria, Poland, Denmark, France, the UK, Spain and the United States, the project aims to develop a constantly updated European lifelong learning forum on the use of e-portfolios.

The UOC is in charge of leading work package WP3, Production of Open Educational Resources (OER), which is to start this coming June. Specifically, this work package will develop a web portal with an inventory of best practices, a reference framework, design criteria, innovative examples, implementation systems and open resources on the subject. The project aims to foster and support e-portfolio initiatives and projects, and share the lessons learned to improve future results.

The EPNET project is scheduled to last 36 months and has been accepted on the European Lifelong Learning programme as part of the Development of Innovative ICT-based Content, Services, Pedagogies and Practices sub-programme.
