Student Guide 2025/2026

Learning resources

At the UOC, learning resources are digital, multi-format and available anytime, anywhere. They are designed to support your studies, make the learning process enjoyable and help you achieve your academic and career goals. All resources aim to be innovative and meet high quality standards, and are tailored to the methodologies of each course.

What are our learning resources like?

In the classroom for each course you'll find all the resources you need to successfully do the assignments set by teaching staff. They include digital content such as e-books, journals, audiovisual materials (for instance videos and podcasts), websites, infographics, manuals and software.

As part of your training, you'll acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge, using resources that are tailored to your learning objectives and flexible to adapt to your needs.

There are two types of learning resources:

  • Resources produced by the UOC: these are produced specifically for each course and can only be used by members of the UOC community. They are produced in-house by the UOC, acting as its own publishing house or audiovisual production company, and come in different formats. Even after you've finished your studies, the most up-to-date version of these resources will still be available to you in Personal area / Resources for students / My learning resources.
  • External resources: these are resources available on the market that have been carefully chosen as being particularly suitable for each course. Where necessary, we sort out copyright matters for articles or book chapters, e-book access permissions and subscriptions to make sure that you can use them for the entire teaching period. Many of these resources take the form of profession-focused software, tools or resources that are used in the world of work, and knowing how to use them will boost your career prospects.
A quality-driven team

The production of learning resources is a process that involves our teaching staff, experts in online learning and specialists in the publication of educational materials. The aim is to ensure you have an enriching and up-to-date learning experience that will equip you to meet the challenges of the real world.
