Student Guide 2025/2026

International mobility

Would you like an international university experience that connects you with other cultural, academic and work environments? At the UOC we make it easy for you: whether you want to study or do an internship abroad, we have a variety of options designed to give you an enriching international experience. In addition, as the UOC promotes diversity and inclusive cultural exchanges, with the virtual mobility option you can share a classroom with students from all over the world... without having to pack a suitcase.

How can you study abroad?

There are two options for joining a mobility programme to study at foreign universities:

Erasmus+ Studies grants

Under the Erasmus+ programme, students can take higher education courses in various European countries. The range of options has recently been expanded to include collaborating institutions from the OpenEU alliance. These stays last between three and five months for bachelor's and master's degrees and can be carried out in person or in blended format (on-site with an online component). You can find all the information about the host universities and the areas of study in the Campus section Procedures / Grants and financial aid / Erasmus+ Studies grants.

International virtual mobility programmes

Exchanges of experiences with students and teaching staff from all over the world take place online, with no need to travel. You can take one or more courses in the online classrooms of foreign higher education institutions and obtain credit recognition in your academic record for the programme you're studying at the UOC. As this mobility is two-way, you'll also have the opportunity to share the UOC's virtual classroom with classmates from other countries. To find out more and discover which universities you can study at, visit our International virtual mobility programmes page.

How can you do an internship abroad?

Erasmus+ Traineeship grants

If you want to put the knowledge acquired in your studies into practice in EU countries, you can apply for one of the Erasmus+ Traineeship grants to do a curricular or non-curricular internship. These stays last between two and five months for bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. You'll have to propose the centre, organization, company or institution where you want to do the internship, and the stays can be carried out in person or in blended format (on-site with an online component). Find out about the available calls at Procedures / Grants and financial aid / Erasmus+ Traineeship grants.

Other international internship programmes

There are also numerous programmes, institutions and agencies around the world that offer international internships. You can find more information at Procedures / Resources for finding international internships.
