Today's societies are characterised as fast-moving, with major changes that generate conflicts difficult to resolve in a number of areas (personal, social and organisational) and which result in high costs in human life and financial resources.
We need to accept the inevitability of conflict, understand the reasons for it and be able to exploit the possibility of the improvements and change that it can bring about with the right intervention.
The international Conflictology Department groups professionals and academics from universities all over the world, providing the information needed to set up personal programmes for international practice.
The integration of diverse disciplines and methodologies allows us to deal with subjects of analysis from a multidisciplinary perspective. The pragmatic approach, which focuses on teaching the skills needed to work in the area, covers the possibility of direct intervention on the ground in specific cases of conflict.
On the whole, the programme provides basic theoretical knowledge and both practical and technical approaches in order to equip students with the skills they need to develop careers in this field.
