The UOC’s English courses are organised into four levels, each of which is divided into two parts. 

French

The organisation of the French courses reflects the rapid progress made by Catalan or Spanish speakers with a Romance language like French.

German

German

The German courses are designed for beginners or people with a very basic level of knowledge of the language. 

Japanese

Japanese

Among other elements, in the first course students will begin learning Hiragana and Katakana writing systems along with pronunciation exercices. 

Chinese

Chinese

The UOC’s Chinese courses aim to offer comprehensive and balanced learning that includes a range of language skills for comprehension, and oral and written production through the use of ICTs and the latest methods. 

Catalan

Catalan

Taught in Catalan and English, Catal Bsic uses materials from the Catalan government’s Parla.Cat platform and activities produced by the UOC. 

Spanish

Spanish

The A1-level Spanish courses for foreigners are for people with no prior knowledge of the language. Interactive self-assessment materials let students practise their language comprehension skills.
