The UOC, as the coordinating university of OpenEU, will hold on 25 and 26 January the meeting of the European alliance that brings together the main European open and distance universities, as well as two face-to-face universities committed to their digital transformation.
The meeting will be attended by the Rector Àngels Fitó, the Rectors of the universities that make up the consortium, the Commissioner for the UOC’s international action, Pastora Martínez Samper, and the people who lead the different work packages. During the conference, the latest amendments to the proposal to be presented soon in the Erasmus+ European Universities call will be discussed. The act of signing the Mission Statement by the Rectors will also be held, which includes the mission and vision of the alliance, as well as the main objectives.
OpenEU is made up of the top eight European distance and open online universities, as well as two face-to-face universities: University of Bifröst (Iceland), University of Daugavpils (Latvia), The Distance University of Hagen (Germany), Hellenic Open University (Greece), Open University of the Netherlands, Open University of Cyprus, National Distance Education University (Spain), Open University of Portugal, Open University of Catalonia (Spain), and the University of Saint Cyril and Methodius of Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria).
