The UOC reaffirms its international commitment to open science at the III CELAC-EU Summit

Under the theme "Consolidating the Common Space of Higher Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation," the III CELAC-EU Academic and Knowledge Summit will take place on July 10 and 11 in Mexico City. This key meeting brings together leading institutions from Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean to discuss the major shared challenges in research, open science, and higher education.

Pastora Martínez Samper, UOC Commissioner for International Action and coordinator of the OpenEU alliance, will participate as a speaker virtually on Friday, July 10, in the roundtable "Open Science, Multilingualism, and Birregional Cooperation to Address Global Challenges," where she will discuss the role of open science in Europe. The session will also feature the following speakers:

- Ricardo Villanueva Lomelí, Undersecretary of Higher Education for the Government of Mexico.

- Ana María Cetto, Chair of the UNESCO Global Open Science Steering Committee.

- Andrés Eduardo Vásquez Plazas, General Manager of the Higher Education Development Fund of Colombia.

- Marcelo González Magnasco, President of the Latin America Federation of Scientific Workers.
