The UOC's Research and Knowledge Transfer Committee has approved the publication of a call for applications for three-year postdoctoral research contracts at the UOC. The placements are for any teaching staff or postdoctoral researchers specializing in any of the areas covered by the UOC's research groups. The deadline for applications is 16 December 2025.
A clear commitment to interdisciplinarity
Seeking to promote interdisciplinary research, the call allows for two types of applications: the Standard option and the Interdisciplinary option. A specific number of placements is not reserved for either one of the two options; however, the best application in the Interdisciplinary category is guaranteed a placement (provided they meet the minimum score). The other placements will be awarded based on the score obtained in their assessment, regardless of the category.
Who can apply?
The call is open to research staff who obtained their doctoral degree between 1 January 2019 and the call's submission deadline. Those who received their degree after 1 January 2017 may also apply as long as they provide evidence of subsequently being on maternity leave or having dependent persons in their care; this evidence must be submitted before the deadline for acceptance of the stay.
The researchers awarded the placements must not have worked with the UOC through a business or employment contract at any time during the two years prior to the publication of this call. The definitive result of this call will be announced as of 18 April 2026.
