3rd Symposium on Telemedicine

Faced with limited budgets at health systems around the world, telemedicine is being presented as one solution to make them sustainable. This patient care and knowledge transfer model, based on integrating ICTs, allows for optimization of resource and service management at healthcare organizations. The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC), together with the University of Antioquia and the Colombian ministries of Health, ICTs and Education, is organizing the 3rd International Symposium on Telemedicine (SimpIntTM_2013) to debate the development of telemedicine on 21 and 22 March. The event, promoted by the UOC-led Clúster Iberoamericano de Colaboración Universitaria en Telemedicina(Ibero-American Cluster for University Collaboration in Telemedicine, CICUT), is to be held in Medellín, Colombia.
