The School of Law and Political Science at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and the research group INTERDRET invite you to the Seminar on Intellectual Property and Internet offered by Prof. Jane C. Ginsburg, Morton L. Janklow Professor of Literary and Artistic Property Law,Columbia University Law School of New York, with the title Copyright in the cloud: first sale, exhaustion or neither?

Program

The Seminar aims at analyzing the legal implications on copyright law of the new means of digital online exploitation and, specially, in the cloud. We will also analyze and compare some recent rulings, such as by the European Court of Justice in the case Usedsoft and the U.S. Sourthern District Court of New York in the case Redigi.

 
Dr. Rafael Sánchez Aristi, Chief of the Studies and Reports Section, Consejo General del Poder Judicial, will present some comments.  
 
The Seminar will take place next Friday 21 of June, at 12 am, at the central headquarters of the UOC, Av. Tibidabo, 39-43 of Barcelona.
 
Prof. Ginsburg’s presentation will be in English; Spanish and English will be used for debate (no simultaneous translation provided).
