Climate change generated by human activity is changing the way we produce, consume and manage natural resources, both socially and technologically. To showcase the new initiatives and alternatives to the current situation in terms of energy and the environment, the Campus for Peace, together with EdiUOC, have published the second volume of the Quaderns de l’Escola de Cooperació digital collection, Energy and Environment: Management, Technology and Conflicts in a Warming World. The book presentation is to take place at 7 pm on Monday 22 July in the auditorium of the UOC’s headquarters at Av. Tibidabo 39-43, Barcelona.

The presentation will involve Arnau Queralt, director of the Catalan government’s Sustainable Development Advisory Board; Xavier Flotats, full professor of Environmental Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya; Evren Tok, researcher at Canada’s North-South Institute and assistant professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Doha, Qatar, and Eduard Vinyamata, director of the UOC’s Campus for Peace.
This ebook is a joint work in English and Spanish, coordinated by Dr Guadalupe Barajas and involving a number of writers: Eduard Vinyamata, Juan Martínez, Martin Gauss, Xavier Flotats, Gemma Cervantes, María Guadalupe Sánchez, Abbas Ibrahim Zahreddine, Evren Tok , Rafael Mujeriego, Jordi Morató, and Gabriel Bau.
