Program
Next Tuesday, 1 april, the eLearn Center will offer the workshop “Adaptive Education, Umwelt and Learning Spaces: Models, Technologies and Applications” by Professors Giuseppina Rita Mangione, Nicola Capuano, Stefano Di Tore and Pio Alfredo Di Tore from University of Salerno.
The workshop is developed along two main complementary lines. The first part introduces the concept of adaptivity as a key concept of pedagogy understood as "social inclusion project", offering an overview of models and technologies underpinning the development of adaptive learning solutions and illustrating research lines and solutions resulting from FP7 projects that have enhanced the possibility to adapt the educational experiences for specific domains.
The second part focuses on the learning space as ubi consistam of adaptivity, offering a possible starting point to investigate the perspectives of the actors of the teaching-learning process and proposing a theoretical framework in which space representation, spatial reference frames manipulation, mental rotation skills and perspective taking skills are prerequisites of adaptive education.
Giuseppina Rita Mangione is PhD in Telematics and Information Society by the University of Florence. Dr. Mangione obtained post-graduate Masters in 'e-Learning Project Management and Design' and 'Multimediality for E-learning' by the University of Rome. She is a Member of the Italian e-Learning Association and of the Centre of Excellence for Learning & Knowledge Methods and Systems at the University of Salerno, where she is also Manager of the Pedagogical Models.
Her main research interests are: technology enhanced learning, Social learning, Knowledge elicitation in learning environment, adaptive learning. She has published numerous papers on these topics in international journals, conference proceedings and book chapters.
The workshop will be in English. To attend, it is necessary that you register through this form.
