Program

Preliminary results of the OERup! Project show the need to provide OER in Adult Education in Europe. Specifically, the need analysis reports developed by project members from different countries (Romania, Germany, UK, Italy and Spain) conclude that there are insufficient OER for Adult Education, either in quantity or in quality. Similarly, the results highlight the lack of Adult Education teachers’ training in the open education movement.

In this context, the next step of the project focuses on the design of a training package addressed to trainers, adult education associations or policy stakeholders all over Europe which aims to encourage the adoption of open initiatives in Adult Education.

During the multiplier event “OER uptake in adult education institutions: what stakeholders need?”, a draft of a training package will be presented, among other results of the project. The session includes time for discussion in small groups in order to assess and adapt the training proposal to the audience’s needs. For this purpose, some tools and discussion facilitation will be provided.

Decision makers of adult education institutions, educational professionals, practitioners and anyone interested in sharing open practices in the field of adult education are invited to this event.

The multiplier event will be held in Barcelona, 9th June, 15:00h-18:00h, at Cosmocaixa (Isaac Newton Street, 26).

Facilitators: Marc Romero (professor of UOC's Psycology and Education Sciences Department) & Ines Kreitlein (MFG, Germany).
