Inauguration of the academic year and 50th anniversary of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona

UOC president Josep A. Planell is attending the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona's (UAB)  inauguration ceremony for the 2017/2018 academic year.
The event is being held in the Monastery of Sant Cugat's cloister and will begin the celebrations for the UAB's 50th anniversary.

Also present at the ceremony will be the President of the Government of Catalonia, Carles Puigdemont, and the Mayoress of Sant Cugat del Vallès, Mercè Conesa. The inaugural lecture, titled "The University, Leader in Inventing the Future", will be given by Federico Mayor-Zaragoza.
