UOC President Josep A. Planell is opening the MoJo BCN 2018, the second edition of the mobile journalism conference organized by the UOC's Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences.
The opening talk is to be given by journalist Leonor Suárez, editor-in-chief of Radiotelevisión del Principado de Asturias' news service and winner of a Thomson Foundation international mobile journalism prize.
Other journalists participating in the conference include Antonio Maestre, who works with La Marea; Marta Nebot, who reports on the parliament for Público; Ana López, who teaches mobile journalism at media outlets such as La Vanguardia and Antena 3, among others; Nacho Carrer, a member of maldita.es and a data and research journalist for laSexta; Maika Navarro, a journalist working with a range of media outlets including La Vanguardia; Franciso Guaita, currently a reporter for Russia Today (RT) in Spain; Lucía González, who runs Verne, an El País website focusing on exploration of the Internet and the creation of quality viral content; Izaskun Pérez, head of social media for Cadena SER; and Patricia Escalona, manager and creator of contents and social media for Antena 3.
