The President takes part in the International Conference on Humanities and Higher Education

UOC President Josep A. Planell is taking part in a round table titled Global challenges that require science, technology and humanities to be integrated: implications for higher education and worldwide approaches. This is part of the International Conference on Humanities and Higher Education: Generating Synergies between Science, Technology and Humanities, organized by the Global University Network for Innovation (GUNI).

The round table will be moderated by Josep M. Vilalta, Executive Secretary of the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP). Other participants include Marcelo Knobel, Rector of the University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil; Ahmed Bawa, a theoretical physicist and CEO of Universities South Africa; and Iman El-Kaffass, Sr. Adviser to the Association of Arab Universities (AArU).

The conference is being held at CosmoCaixa on 19 and 20 November 2018.
