Dr Marta Aymerich, UOC Vice President for Strategic Planning and Research, and Executive President of the eHealth Center, is to receive a Trifermed Award for Social Impact in Healthcare on 13 June.
Trifermed is a consultancy firm specializing in business development for biotech and pharmaceutical companies. In the words of Prof. Sergi Trilla, founder and President of Trifermed, "the Trifermed Awards aim to shine a light on the humanistic values in the people and groups of people who wake every day thinking how about they can help others, improve people's quality of life and find solutions to the diseases we're constantly fighting against".
The award winners are selected by an independent group of experts in biomedicine, pharmacy, biotechnology and medical technology. The awards single out foundations, initiatives and individuals working in the healthcare sector who see beyond financial concerns to employ a human touch.
