Digital Universities Europe

The UOC is to host the Digital Universities Europe forum organized by Times Higher Education (THE) at the UOC's Poblenou Campus from 23 to 25 October 2023. The event is expected to be attended by around 70 speakers and 250 specialists from all over Europe.
 
The theme of the forum will be The road to digital, equitable and green higher education. A wide range of aspects related to accelerating innovation in quality education in the digital age will be covered by sharing success stories, case studies and practical solutions.
 
Leaders and policymakers from industry, research and higher education are invited to share data, best practices and innovative ideas about the future of universities.
 
Agenda
The speakers will discuss the challenges facing society and the imminent transformation of the labour market, which calls for new skills and an agile, equitable and greener higher education system that can evolve and adapt to changing times.
 
The speakers include Paz Portales, programme coordinator for higher education at UNESCO; Josep M. Duart, president of EDEN Digital Learning Europe and a member of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences at the UOC. Anna Armengol Torío, the president of UOC Alumni; George Ubachs, managing director of the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities, and Raimund Vogl, president of the European University Information Systems network, are other top speakers from governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Registration to attend is now open. The super early bird discount ends on 21 July, and the early bird discount ends on 22 September.
