Series of talks on the future of teaching and learning with the IAU and the UOC

IAU-UOC webinar series

The International Association of Universities (IAU) and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) have teamed up to organize a series of talks titled Innovative Education for Unshaped Futures (IE4UF), which will examine some of the changes that are currently taking place in higher education.

The UOC President, Josep A. Planell, will present the first session, titled Back to Campus: Making Sense of (Innovative) Hybrid Teaching and Learning, and Iain Martin, the Vice-Chancellor of Deakin University, will be contributing. This first session will share a vision of the future of hybrid and online learning, and current trends and developments in the current pandemic situation.

The session will be chaired by Trine Jensen, General Manager of Higher Education and Digital Transformation, and Albert Sangrà, the Academic Director of the UNESCO - UOC Chair in Education and Technology for Social Change. Liz Johnson, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Education at Deakin University, will also be taking part.

This first webinar officially kicks off the IE4UF series, consisting of six one-hour chapters that explore different areas of the digital transformation of higher education based on an analysis of various general and specific aspects. The programme (which can be consulted via this link) will run from June to October 2021.

The session will take place from 1 p.m. to 2.15 p.m. (CEST) on 10 June 2021, and can be followed live on Zoom, subject to prior registration. The recordings will be available on the UOC YouTube channel.
